The title ‘Sentinels’ sets up a quite different subject to these stark challenging images of trees. The promise of beauty and the important and vital role trees and forests play in the sustainability of our planet is challenged by the starkness of bare trees. Can they still function? Have our forests been degraded too far for rehabilitation? Can we change our ways and reclaim health and beauty? A lover of trees, the artist here brings a call to action. The beauty and unique colours of the Australian landscape shine through.

Mixed media includes acrylics, inks, collaged pieces and texture mediums woven together to produce this environmental narrative.

Sentinels is on stretched canvas, framed in a float frame of beautiful Tasmanian oak and ready to hang.

Framed size is 94cm x 94cm x 4.5 cm.
